Not interesting. Dropping "Soup" from the company name as like most big companies these days they own a lot of other things.

yeah not having actually seen any Campbell product outside of art and faux art, I assumed the name of the company was "Campbell" and "Campbell Soup" was something like "MicroSoft Office".

This is why they dropped the "Soup" from Campbell's Soup Company.

The point is that many (maybe most) of us didn't even realize that "soup" was part of the company's name. I always assumed something like "Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup" was by the company "Campbell" or "Campbell's". Nobody calls it "Campbell's Soup Company Chicken Noodle Soup".
