Ask HN: Video editing library for browser similar to moviepy

Hi everyone,

This is Pankaj from India. I am the co-founder of Kiffer AI. We are building a marketing product that requires video generation on the fly. So far, we have been using MoviePy in the backend, but now we need a browser-based video editor for users to edit those videos, similar to Canva. We explored various options but couldn't find an open-source library in JavaScript that meets our needs.

As a result, we have started building the library internally to support our use case since it is central to what we are doing. Would there be any interest if we open-source it, allowing others in the same domain to contribute and help develop it faster and better?

Why don’t you open source it and let devs know they can contribute starting today? Devs who don’t use HN can find it on GitHub by searching and you can begin posting call to arms if by posting your vision and goals.
