Is Jetbrains Fine?

I've used products of this company for many years back then, now I'm retired and just wondering if the company is still OK given that new functionality which should become the driver of the future success is heavilyy downvoted by users: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/22282-jetbrains-ai-assistant

and old functionality, which was once a key driver and is still loved by users, is being consistently demoted by JetBrains (moving it to an optional plugin from the core build is definitely a demotion) https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/24468-classic-ui

Is everything fine, or something is kind'a wrong?

They're having a little bit of an identity crisis and chasing VSCode users in a dumb way, by imitating it right down to its UI.

If I wanted to use VSCode, I would. It's free. I pay for JetBrains tools because they're better than the free ones.

I think they're certainly making mistakes, but I don't think they're in trouble by any stretch. They've got the fully featured IDE market largely locked down.

The plugin was created after users complains. Initially the AI feature was embedded in the editor and there was no way to totally disable it.

That lead to a lot of complains about information security and companies compliance.

Jetbrains listened and created a separate plugin so that people/companies that had issues with AI "looking" at their code and using it to train their AI could keep using Jetbrais tools without that feature.
