Is there a "distrowatch" like site for programming languages?

I like reading and hearing about new programming languages. I don't learn them all or anything but I do like to hear about what is new and what trends are happening.

Is there a website that collects info on new languages? I'm thinking something like distrowatch but for programming languages.

When I search around I get nothing but "10 new languages to learn in 2024", "29.5 new languages that will get you hired NOW!" and all of them are java, javascript, python, rust, and sometimes go. I know about them already!

It's not about learning every new lang or being cool for knowing about something that came out yesterday, I just like to read about new and interesting new programming languages.

suggestions?

You could try something like sampleprograms.io Generally looking up new programming languages gets you a whole lot of nothing, so it’s best to just try to jump into looking for samples instead.
Many are posted here on HN, you could use the search.

Also check out https://rosettacode.org they have over 900 languages

search is great but HN discussions are great too, and things change over time but older threads can't receive new comments. That's an interesting Ask HN.
Hey thanks! This is great. gives me a lot to read now!
