That price is interesting.

Anki has a paid iOS app, that has a relatively hefty price: 25 USD/EUR. The developer has explained that he was experimenting with different pricepoints, and while it is true that it is considered to be a pretty high price, simply this brings in the most profit. (Personally I can imagine this is true, I did buy it also, only to support the project).

I guess something similar could be in the background here too, that selling it cheaper simply wouldn't worth it (though I don't want to go into the value/lack of value of a wallpaper application)

It might bring more profits but it also has brought a lot of reputational damage, at least in this case
