Tell HN: Hetzner just launched object storage in beta

This is a game changer, since this keeps me form having to roll my own Minio. I was considering moving from S3 to R2, but if I can keep all traffic away from the internet until it needs to leave, that is ideal to me. Hopefully they add a CDN too. Beta is limited access and will run until November 1. Hopefully next are managed databases and cache.

Link with product info and pricing? Or can you share that info?
General infos/guides: https://docs.hetzner.com/storage/object-storage

> On the beta launch date, Object Storage will be available in Falkenstein (fsn1) only. We plan to add Nuremberg (nbg1) next. After the beta test, Object Storage will be available in all our European locations.

Didn't find pricing infos... .

Some pricing info on https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/197903/hetzner-launches-ob...

> When creating a bucket, it says “We charge a base price of €0.0096/hour for every hour of Object Storage runtime, up to a maximum of €5.95/month. You receive 1 TB of storage and 1.5 GB of traffic included per hour of Object Storage runtime. If the included quotas are exceeded, additional storage is charged at €0.0096 per TB hour and additional traffic at €1.19 per TB.”. This is with 19% vat in Germany

Unlike some Users on LET I am very happy with this pricing condition. Well, depends on speed, reliability, connectivity... and the limitations.

The thread mentions the first of November as end of beta. We will see.

Everything looks superb, except for one thing, the limit of 1Gbit/second per bucket is not useable in production.

This would be saturated by a single file download. Hopefully it's only a beta limitation!
