Ask HN: For Dummies Math Resources for AI with a Strong Foundation?

2 points by rrgok ↗ HN
Hi HN,

I have a B.Sc in Computer Science with a basic understanding of probability, statistics, calculus, and some AI concepts. As I dive deeper into AI, I really want to understand the math behind it (linear algebra, optimization, probability theory, etc.), but in a way that's approachable and beginner-friendly—something like "for dummies".

At the same time, I want to build a strong enough foundation so I can keep up with cutting-edge AI techniques in the future.

Can anyone recommend resources (books, tutorials, or courses) that explain these math concepts in an intuitive, easy-to-understand way while also laying the groundwork for more advanced learning? Any advice on how to structure this learning journey would be really helpful.

Thanks a lot!
