Guess everything converges on crabs in evolution.
Maybe I'm forgetting some of my developmental biology lessons, but aren't these "legs" really "digits"?

I.e. they are the members of the fins without the membrane connecting them. So the relationship to other fish is like the opposite of bats' relation to other mammals.

Only knew of sea robins from that B-52's song "Rock Lobster".
Those things look freaky! And the legs seem like they function more as whiskers/feelers. I wonder if they are swimming from the wings or if the “legs” are helping push them forward. If the latter
