How tolerant of them. I saw someone get banned in the discord server LIVE, just because he thumbs downed a message by the community manager. How fragile an ego, how weak a person. Use your personal social media for the activism, not the company's official social media. I am not going to donate to this crazy org anymore.
The title is sensationalist. Looks like someone at Godot responsible for Twitter communications and Discord (not a manager of the engine) is banning folks for mild comments. Anti-woke people on Twitter respond by implying this community manager is somehow responsible for the quality of the engine itself (?), and making politically charged, blanket anti-LGBT statements using terms like "leftard", "rainbow people" and "mentally ill".
Basically more social media drama, and the worst kind too.
My friend, this is not as small as it seems. Here's why:
1. That person is the godot community manager so yes, a manager.
2. That person is banning people for even quoting the original author of Godot who said that people with different political opinions should not be isolated or put a label on.
3. That person has banned several discord users for disliking their messages on the discord servers.
4. Several developers have been blocked by Godot on GitHub too.
5. A discord user was banned for having a bio that read something along the lines of 'save children from being mutilated by woke clinics' [paraphrased]
I've read some of the threads, and it appears that Discord and X are not the end of it.
Apparently, this same CM also runs Godot's Github account: some people have reportedly been banned on Github as well, and if that's true, having non-technical activists run your Github account is wild to me.
There have also been reports that some developers who are Titanium level backers (i.e. at least $100 monthly) of the Godot engine have been banned as well.

I expect a non-trivial amount of game devs (of any political alignment) to at least pause and wonder if this is a good investment.
