I don't see how he's infringing on amazon's logo tbh. On cursory search I found that colgate and danone have the same smile stroke under their logo too.

For now, you can add affiliate products, which is a great way to start.
It's incredibly disingenous to say "free" with additional premium features and the ONE feature a user would expect from an online store builder is ... taking orders.
You'll get a store with easy listing in the free plan, along with a custom action button.
Just remember, this is a beta launch, so I’m looking for feedback as I continue to develop features... :)

I’m aiming to simplify things even more than Shopify - making it super easy and effortless for anyone to set up and run their store without the extra hassle.
I'm genuinely curious what the need is. I made the parent in jest but its also based on what looks like timing to me. Ecommerce is a very developed market. It's not like when the web first launched and no one else is doing it. People can sell easily on Amazon or ebay. Or start their own product sites with many different platforms. I am curious where OP sees themselves fitting into the current space. (I'm totally clueless about business though so dont take my comments too harshly. the website does look good.)
The price is way too high for small shops or shops selling small goods. For example right now I have a redbubble store that makes about 30 a months, that's 100% passive and pays a few beers. With shopify I'd make 0 euros a month -30ct per sale -2.1% per sale (plus the whole discovery aspect of redbubble but that's another problem). I also sold a few prints of my pictures for 100-300$ a pop but averaged over the years that would also be a net loss with a shopify plan
Shopify is a brittle, inflexible, poorly performing, expensive pile of hacks. If it happens to serve your needs, that's fine, but now levels of competition in the space have made them super complacent

Absolutely, There's huge potential, especially in a market like Mauritania, Pakistan, US, India. I’m definitely focused on making sure everything is done right to maximize that opportunity
Not OP but maintainer of an .io site... So you're telling me even though I pay yearly ICANN fees they can just remove .io without any warning or alternative? Or whats the "real" issue here?
Yes, they could (And it seems likely) discontinue the .io domain, first stopping new registrations then giving everyone a timeline to move off it (Hopefully 3-5 years). But if they want to pull the plug they have the authority to do so
Just a thought: I tried to sign up, I have been thinking about making a store for something. But it stopped me because I don't have a logo. That shouldn't be a requirement.
This sounds stupid, but I work for a company that produces a few product ranges and sells them in different online settings. The product with branding do far, far better. Speaking also as a consumer, when I see a new product for sale that has no branding, I automatically assume it's being sold by a flash-in-the-pan drop shipper trying to make a buck off a product they did not manufacture, which tells me to avoid it.
Since there are a variety of free tools out there to create a simple logo, I'd say at least put that effort in before considering selling. Branding is part of the process flow.
It's possible the OP was just trying out different storefronts and either doesn't have finalized assets or doesn't want to pull them up to try it out. When publishing or going live I agree with you, but in my experience most sitebuilders/storefronts have a draft / unpublished version - in which case uploading logos/product images/favicons/etc - isn't necessary until going live.
I wasn't going to drop ship anything, I've been trying different store fronts with the idea of selling art prints. I don't have a logo for myself, and also I just wanted to try it out and see what it looked like.
