Ask HN: Data professional explain how Tableau is not just awful, terrible, bad

I got into tableau in 2015 when data visualization was taking off, eventually I realized my (internal team) customers just wanted tabular data, maybe sort/filter but def did not use stories, etc. Now I'm at a company that is 100% tableau and analysts are using it as a pinterest for business logic. There still seems to be no version control 9 years later? I dunno, please help.
