I completely agree. Simple systems (when designed well) can be more reliable and easier to maintain than large complicated spaghetti systems.
A vps is going to cost $5/mo forever, a lambda is going to cost $0.5/mo and not run into scaling issues ever, so why should I bother with a vps? I just don't see the bright idea
