One comment I'd like to add about Zuckerberg and Facebook generally whether or not the metaverse is some insane moonshot bet (they've had some successes, but a few very noteworthy failures like demanding people link their Facebook account to the Oculus which promptly gets banned) - I think Social Media itself can be great! I don't have an inherent problem with the medium. And yet whatever they use to filter posts (Edgerank?) is causing people to completely miss things, and the competition they've bought that tends to lead to original inventors leaving out of disgust. That's what I get concerned with, not "social media". Zuck's reputation is literally him calling users dumb fucks (and please don't say "I would have said the same", first of all that's really bad, secondly he was actively offering his friend user information)
