It's too expensive for what you get. I'm not sure if that is fixable.
But all the other problems are, and nobody should even think about buying one until they do. VW admits that the UX is awful and have promised a fix. There will be new hardware; early adopters are screwed. You've been warned.
The Ford CEO claims that all the big western car companies believed that they could sell EVs at the same premium the early cars sold for even as they expanded the sales base to the mass market over four or five years.
This sounds completely idiotic, but fits so well with the observed actions I guess it's true.
