Good taste is timeless. Augmented art has been a thing since people started exploring optics with shadow casting devices, grids. We're a long way down (literally hundreds of years) to the impact of technology on the outcome, if you want to cast back further then acquiring any technique of production in art demands bowing to the technology be it carving out the back of a gemstone to make a cameo, or painting wet plaster to make a fresco. So the principal objection here can't be "but it uses technology" because in context for any level of technology there's been a time sharpening the stick made it more technical than the last one "oh no thats not an authentic cave painting ugg, you sharpened the stick"
The point here is the belief the AI intrudes into the initial creative spark, and somehow traduces the point. Well.. It may be true. But if Andy signed a giclee print some schmuck in the factory had run off, and I paid $1000 for it, who is the mug here? And why is this better or worse than you typing the constructive inputs to an AI which then emits the sonnet form?
To me, the underlying "art" moment is highly mutable. Performance art would admit deliberate lies, so it could be artists faking AI, AI faking artists, no AI, no art, the point was to play the game. I'm not personally into that. But .. taste is personal.
I don't actually welcome AI. Statistically generative text emission is soulless, and I say that as an athiest.
