I know I will be downvoted to oblivion. But software developers and scientists are the backbone of the current industry. Where are you now? Silence and ignoring is also a choice. If this then that otherwise do this. There is a big deal going on, putting your head in the sand is not going to make it go away. Social media has caused the polarization and has amplified the voices of extremists by design. Who designs and maintains these systems because they don't operate on their own.
This is fanaticism - which are traits developers, engineers, and scientists should not engage in.
