The artist's website describes it as "word search" which is technically true, but vastly undersells the puzzles. The vocabulary is wholly invented for the book, and each word you mark off requires you to take some other action to the puzzle, until the whole grid has been marked out. In effect, the main puzzle is ordering your solve, such that marking off one keyword unlocks the next, and so on.

The other neat feature of the puzzles: several times you are asked to deduce a new rule, purely from the existence of a series of solvable puzzles (and some it tells you are not solvable).

I'm only on chapter 7 of 10, but it's been a neat new pencil puzzle.
