Why did they compare to 2022? Seems somewhat arbitrary. It wasn't even a comparable election year.
Yeah, then they all realize the lift required to move and the changes in lifestyle, inertia wins over irrationality, they stay.

How much of this is bullshit hyperbole? Let's ask those who were going to leave last time? Less than 0.0001% actually followed through?
Not for lack of desire, probably; emigration is really difficult.
If people were that bothered about Trump they would do it. It's all bullshit it just sound good doesn't it "If Trump wins I'm leaving America yada yada yada"
Emigration takes a lot of time and money. Finding a destination country where you could reasonably make a living, which would be willing to accept you, is definitely not a given. It seems completely plausible to me that many people might say "if Trump wins, I'm leaving" with complete sincerity, only to later learn that they cannot actually accomplish this.
Just in case anyone is actually looking to get out - Americans can stay in Albania visa-free for a year. Great people and fantastic coffee.
It would be more interesting to see if any countries change their visa or immigration requirements in order to attract some skilled American labor.
