If you're listening to podcasts nowadays, you might feel pressured to quit your day job and go "all in" with your startup idea. I believe the smarter move is to validate your idea first by working on it during your free time, weekends, and evenings and generate some revenue.

For UK entrepreneurs, in order to calculate what you owe as a sole trader (not a limited company) after your side hustle, I've put together a calculator to help estimate the taxes you'll need to pay as part of your end-of-year self-assessment.

Hop some of you finds this useful, all comments and feedback welcome!

Bookmarked for the future, thanks for sharing.

One bit of feedback I have is to allow for revising/updating the figures in a calculation instead of re-entering everything from scratch each time.

I live in Serbia, we have something similar that the government gives us to calculate the tax from additional income. https://frilenseri.purs.gov.rs/kalkulator-poreza.html

I would image that other governments have the same thing. Or at least easy to find policies.

Would be awesome to see a centralized base of all the governmental tax policies with calculations. Good for nomads especially. You could then extract all sort of data from this. Especially if people start using it.
