Ask HN: Amazon Prime delivery false advertising?

1 points by hedora ↗ HN
So, we’re paying for Amazon Prime, and have noticed that delivery times to our house have crept up to 6+ calendar days, even though pickup at our local Whole Foods (15 minutes away) is typically 12 hours to two days out for the same item.

According to Amazon’s prime marketing info:

> Prime members get unlimited FREE Two-Day Shipping with no minimum spend.

Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?

If you read the fine print you'll see that there's disclaimers on that two-day shipping. I live in the country where Amazon hands off to the USPS for most deliveries and still things usually arrive in 2-3 days.

Not sure what your situation is, but if the delivery time is always outside the estimate window you should contact Amazon so they can investigate.

Who on earth still uses the Amazon Prime scam these days. Its so 2010!

Caveat emptor

Pretty sure there's a class action lawsuit for this.
