This is the first time I’ve received this error on the production system. Could the issue be related to this error?
No, Docker changed the rate limits a while ago. You have to login to get a higher limit, which is an issue for machine-only systems.
We opted to mirror the images we actually use and created a process for getting/approving new images while we were at it. There is a mild peace of mind knowing that people cannot use random or rogue images
