Is a personal dashboard useful for you? What tool do you use to stay on top of your daily tasks, notes, monthly expenses, contacts and relationships etc?
I created a "dashbord" for myself many years ago, serving as my new tab homepage. As I started working, I lost the free time I once had to work on personal projects, yet I was able to keep the dashboard because it was easy to hack and add things to. If it was not extensible, it would have faded into uselessness and abandonment as I lacked the time to maintain it.
