Uncomfortable and sad fact - most Americans are tired of and indifferent to hearing about anything that lasts more than 3 months, including but not limited to:

- Brown people being murdered because they're far away and corporate media says "they're all terrorist animals"

- Non-brown people being murdered in an illegitimate war because they're also far away

- Homeless people, because they don't want to see them or know they exist

- Climate change, because it's intangible and so it shouldn't stop their Big Mac habits driving 20 miles in their jacked, emission controls-removed diesel SUVs that barely fit through the drive-through

The easy PR/geopolitical hack then is to do atrocities in distant lands at a constant rate, and American social and legacy media won't care.
