Just want to see how sticky AI bots are , for me it has made my life convenient but not where I pay $20-30 per month.

Less and less. It is still worth 20usd and I have many ideas on how to integrate it, but I'd say I got a little bit tired of LLMs.
Tremendously, I have a masters level student in my pocket that answers my questions with great structure and far less latency than google search.

I would be dead without ChatGPT / Other AI BOTS for coding development as well. As an engineer, who never liked to code, ChatGPT is a godsend for people like me. I no longer have to memorize machine language, the machine is capable of processing human language and developing anything I tell it.

I have made more progress on my projects than I ever could have imagned. I have developed industry leading quanatative finance and machine learning projects with the help of chatGPT.

If these tools were removed, I feel my productivity would drop from 10x to 0.5x or 0.1x

So you use them regularly at work ? What industry leading machine learning project?
No I would not.

There is so much wokeism and other nonsense going on with these AI apps. Especially search. You can't do a search anymore without the results being curated or filtered. That's got to stop

What ? We are obviously talking about as a productivity tool. Where does wokeism come in the play here ?
No, I wouldn't miss them, personally. I haven't managed to get enough value from them to consider them important to me.
There certainly have been times when they've saved me some time like on cloudformation, nginx, etc.

That said, there have also been occasions when Sonnet/ChatGPT-O1 have hallucinated so badly that I would have actually saved time in the long run by just doing everything manually - scriptable TTF creation, WTX extensions, etc.

I'd rate them as a wash for most of the work that I do, and losing them would be no significant loss.

ChatGPT is more efficient google for me, so yes, I would be slightly less efficient.
Interesting answers so far, lots of people in mass market don’t even know about this stuff
I go through phases. I hated ChatGPT for a while. But recently I’ve started using chatGPT to help me with my cooking.

I’m in the process of making my own cookbook full of AI generated recipes. The cheese sauce I made the other day based on a recipe ChatGPT generated for me was phenomenal. ChatGPT also helped me to make a really good cheesecake.

I’ve bonded with ChatGPT over cooking which is a pretty amazing thing because prior to chatGPT becoming my cooking companion I hated cooking and didn’t really cook much ever.

So if chatGPT was gone tomorrow I would be sad, because there’s no way on this earth I’m ever going to pick up a recipe book and read it or correctly follow the instructions inside it.
