Where does the article define what "medical grade" honey is, or where a layman would get it?
EDIT - it was right there: "Wounds were treated with L‐Mesitran ointment (provided by Triticum, Maastricht, the Netherlands)[, a] honey‐based wound care product [which] contains 48% medical grade honey."
So, plain honey may not be nearly as much help as one would think from the cover.
"Triticum is more potent than Manuka‐based Medihoney" - ie. Triticum cream is effective, but there are many active ingredients in that cream. Maybe the honey helps.
There are other burn / wound creams on the market once you are buying a specialized cream. How does this compare?
