There's only a finite number of inputs, and if everybody added their inputs to their project repository, it would be easy to scour the internet for all of them.
But beyond that: it's not open source or free software because It Is Not Software. It's text that the author wrote, and of course he will assert copyright over it, and of course you shouldn't take pieces of other peoples' websites and paste them into your own repositories. (Or, since we all do it anyway: if you're asked to take it down, then just take it down).
