If this is what he writes while "On Vacation"... he's doing vacation wrong

I don't know. Finally having the "free time" to get all of this out of his head was probably very relieving, considering how passionate he seems to be.
I agree that thinking about code and your day-to-day work is not doing Vacations correctly. On the other hand, I hiked and spent time with my family and many dogs. It makes me think more out of the box than I usually do. Also, I like to write and release articles while on vacation.

From my experience, Rust programs are consistently high quality, just work, and deploy easily. I've rarely seen any well-known Rust projects that are garbage. Since Rust is still emerging in the corporate world, those proficient in it tend to be passionate engineers who take pride in writing solid code.

Rust’s steep learning curve is a pretty good filter too :)

Would love to hear about people’s experiences / war stories with Meilisearch vs alternatives. Often been tempted to have a play with it but Elastic kind of feels like the IBM of search.
One thing I can say for sure. If you're Looking for an Algolia-like dev experience, Meilisearch is much easier to use than Elastic.
We absolutely love Meilesearch. We run it on our own servers and air has been rock solid and the search results are better than anything comparable.
Hey, article author, co-founder and tech lead at Meilisearch here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate.
