If this person is so good with statistics, maybe than can compute the number of hours of other people's time they wasted so they could save themselves a few hours of research into best schools.
Context: My time has been so oversubscribed by external nonsense lately that seeing how disrespectful a person can be with other's time in such a blatant way makes me border on angry...but I don't have the time for that since I spent my spare few moments writing this post...sigh.
I find your approach very strange. Whether you are applying for ME or PhD program, I would expect your criteria to be the subject area coverage, the expertise of the teaching and research faculty.
You would need to research the professors, their teaching and research focus and then based on that information contact them about applying to their school/program. Why do you care about the other students. Every person is studying/researching for their specific reasons which are unlikely to align with yours.
