Hey HN, I'm a YC s24 founder who's still part of YC (I think they still like me) but recently left my YC startup. I used to work at Coinbase, and am hacking on some new crypto stuff.

I subscribe to the thought school that all of the "future of the internet" stuff in crypto is BS. Because it is. Crypto is more about how people organize.

I believe that good crypto projects are more like new ideologies, religions if you will. Bitcoin is a good example. It's a belief system with its own prophets, rituals, and artifacts. Linked post talks about it - https://higherrrrrrr.fun/theology

I've been bootstrapping and found quite a bit of traction with a new asset type and exchange idea. It's also nice to be bootstraped because no VCs maintains the purity of the project.

The concept is basically "evolutionary assets". You can read about the protocol more on our site: https://higherrrrrrr.fun/protocol

We've put up some reasonable numbers week 1: - $25k ish in fees - $2m in protocol volume - $10s of millions in secondary volume on our assets - Millions of page views on our domains - Lots of jokes (Check out 8=D - https://alpha.higherrrrrrr.fun/token/0x17e1f08f8f80a07406d4f...) - Community of thousands

Best things are misunderstood. I don't think many YC people like it, but most builders think it's cool and respect it. That's what matters to me.

Here are some links that prove I'm not a fraudster: - All of the protocol code is OSS - https://github.com/Thrive-Point-Group/higherrrrrrr-protocol - Alpha page - https://alpha.higherrrrrrr.fun - Protocol brief (already linked) - https://higherrrrrrr.fun/protocol - Community is the product -https://mirror.xyz/0xBA525e4c0d544eFc01af4382CA5a589b7e0656C...

Happy to answer any questions in the thread. Hacker News traditionally HATES crypto things, so will see how this goes... No, I'm not a scammer, you can check the protocol code, but the way it's deployed it's totally immutable onchain - impossible to tamper with this and anyone can read it.

Can I start referring to this as a post-crypto thought movement to sound intelligent?
I like it, its cringe but not too cringe. Its a cool concept and might find 50 bucks to throw at a dumb coin.

Reminds me of being into crypto in like 2017 vs 2024.
