Ask HN: Is there a Mathematical Proof for obtaining AGI through transformer?

People on twitter seems like AGI is near (looking at you sam altman aka hypeman)

I don't want to depend on People thoughts and intuitions so I wanted to know if there is any mathematical proof of actually obtaining AGI

i think to prove it, you'd need to define what you mean by AGI.

There's something like the universal approximation theorem (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_approximation_theore...) for neural nets, if that's what you're looking for!
