Free green power in Sweden is crippling its wind industry (japantimes.co.jp) 2 points by PaulHoule 1y ago ↗ HN
[–] ziggyzecat 1y ago ↗ Just a comment:Sounds like a non-issue that can and will be solved or upcycled by people who just think out of that little game theory box.
[–] thagerty 1y ago ↗ Probably is a non-issue, but there is a concerted effort to trash talk anything that might cut into you know who's profits.
[–] phony-account 1y ago ↗ This article makes it sound like Sweden is enjoying almost ‘free’ electricity, but that’s very far from reality. The house I live in (with 20 apartments) has seen prices rise by 17% this year, and that follows 3 years of similar rises. As usual, articles like this sound great, so long as you don’t have access to the actual data. [–] p2detar 1y ago ↗ Out of curiosity - what would you say is the reason for this rise in prices if energy generation is so effective as the article implies?
