It's hard to grok this title, I'm sure it's the length constraint. Suggestion: 120->480Hz OLED: More noticeable than 60->120Hz, Even For Office
My 4K monitor is limited to 30Hz in my setup.

What kind of cabling and GPU is going to do 16x of that?

A $$$$ GPU to make my terminal windows scroll better is a bit silly…

Sounds great, but will be nice when integrated graphics can handle this easily.

Any GPU, even on-board, made in the last 10 years is capable of rendering a 4K desktop at a full 60hz without a problem. Anything on-board or discreet that is currently sold on the market, even absolute budget tier, is capable of pushing somewhat beyond that, even the dinky little GPU clusters AMD put on their Ryzens. Just about any half-decent cable you buy on Amazon will work, too. So none of this is particularly unobtainable.

It also does make a difference, I've been running high refresh rates since the 90s, it makes it easier to track the cursor, reduces input latency and improves motion clarity whenever you're scrolling or dragging things around.
