Ask HN: Is the job market much better in tech cities like SF than remote?

Trying to figure out if I need to move or not.

I was lucky enough to build a life in an affordable part of the country and have made many friends and connections here.

That said, the job market is trash, and if I dont find something soon-ish, I will have to move.

If I were to move to an SF/Austin/NYC type city, is the job market for in person roles much better? Or will I be just as out of luck there as here?
