Volkswagen leak exposed location data for 800k electric cars (theverge.com)

The fact that such data was being collected and kept at all should be concerning too.

I want to buy a car, not a snitch. (And yes, my current one does not have a cable running from the head unit to a cellular antenna, I've checked.)
