I feel that it's really quite strange how imprecise these numbers are.

Fwiw I'm Norwegian, married to a German and live in Germany. Somehow the prices in Norway have shrunk by 30% for me in recent years. Why? Can't tell. 30%. I don't think it's anything fundamental.

I think there's a limit to how precisely these numbers measure reality, and it's oddly low.
