I guess it was a little ambiguous. I'm asking about file storage, my main laptop has always been the primary source (with backups) but I'm wondering how many HN readers use a NAS or something else as the "main" source of truth for their file system and storage.
i use a single disk, no backups. livin on the edge! :D (got only 1 project i care about, i back it up on gmail as zip archive sent to myself!). yes did lose a bunch of stuff once in my life whem hdd died. hence i email myself my project now ×)
