Tell HN: Apple will not replace keyboard
We bought a new Macbook in 2019. The store promised the keyboard issues were fixed. We were sold a 2017 model and the keys have failed three times. They will no longer fix the issue despite the multiple recorded prior repairs. Even speaking with a senior Apple Advisor they refuse to cover it anymore. Posting here as a reminder because now we are forced to buy a new laptop before the school year as the 'e' key doesn't work at all. I'm hopeful others who could get Apple to stand by their products will see this post.

[ 360 ms ] story [ 1084 ms ] threadAlso, I'd like to note that my 6 year old Honda Civic has a recall and they are required by law to repair the issue free of charge to the consumer. I know laptop failure won't result in potential death, but customers should be protected from poorly designed products that fail. No other laptop or desktop I have ever used has had keyboard issues.
