I've heard/watched videos on people saying it costs as much to charge an EV at some chargers as it does to fill up an economy car. I feel like the real benefits of EV's are charging at home (especially on off peak hours).
It's definitely cheaper at home. At the plug station, it would cost me about the same as 10 gallons, which is less than the economy cars common here

$30 for 300 miles on my EV when charging at the station
