For a while it seemed touch and go but this rule seems to be thoroughly enforced now except for a 'whitelist' of browsers that does not include Firefox, Chromium or Netsurf.
Netsurf has no javascript but is a full CSS renderer.
links/lynx/w3m/any small futur past and present noscript/basic (x)html browsers?
Tested, it forces default to javascript except for few noscript/basic (x)html browsers without user agent override.

Namely, the default is "javascript mandatory" unless your user agent is explicitely known as a noscript/basic (x)html browser, sneaky and classic dark pattern abusing the "default".

It kills any future noscript/basic (x)html attempt. In theory, they should be fined heavily until they re-enable the noscript/basic (x)html default unless there is a technically simpler protocol to get search results from their beyand dominant search engine.

Somehow, I would not expect "less" from those "people" at gogol... Will Trump admin be able to take out that trash out of gogol?
