Ask HN: side projects on resume?
How do you present side projects on a resume? Especially if they're little weekend projects; i.e. not something that's made thousands of dollars or gotten a zillion users.
(Note: I am a college student graduating in 1-2 years, if it matters)

I say throw it all on a website with thumbnails, links and descriptions to each of your projects.
In your resume, put it in as an entry under 'experience'. If you want, make it your top entry - call it 'ongoing projects' if they're ongoing. A short description with what the projects are and the tech used, along with a link to the site.
Also, under your email address in the contact info on your resume, link to your website.
This should pretty much cover your bases.
I hope that helps.
God says...
5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

LoseThos is done -- it's pretty much how I want it, given the situation. Some hardware avenues increase complexity by an order of magnitude and probably would be worse for compatible. I did HDAudio. That is a bad fit and you can study all it's worthlessness. VMWare HDAudio doesn't even work. Doing more devices with that bad an outcome is not good.
That said, I haven't had much luck on the candidate side when presenting side projects on my resume, so maybe I'm a minority.
