Ask HN: Where can I read more about AWS transaction log service?

Recently, I noticed usage of distributed transaction log service mentioned in at least 2 of AWS services: Amazon MemoryDB and Aurora DSQL.

But couldn't find any details of it. Does anyone know if AWS published a paper about their distributed transaction log service? If not, is there a similar work done in the past which might have influenced AWS to build it?
