Annoyingly ambiguous title; guess they want you to read the article to find out if hanging out is harmful, or hanging out less is.
Are they considering things like Discord as "alone" or "hanging out"? Because I hang out with friends every night. Virtually. So does my teen son. He does good in school and is well-adjusted. This article seems a bit biased and old-fashioned.
Yeah it's hard to explain this to my therapist.

No, and there was no need to be an asshole about it. It's like talking about your human childhood and adolescence to an alien therapist. I hope you see what I'm getting at.
My teenage son hangs out with his friends every night. On discord and phone, playing shared games.

When I was growing up at his age, other than at school, I maybe saw my friends once or twice a week at most.
