I think this is pretty awesome.

I like the multiple attempts it you miss the first call. Maybe add the option to check in manually. Sometimes I am in locations without cell service, in meetings all day, etc.

Also voice recognition to prevent a different party from answering/confirming in the case of a kidnapping or domestic abuse.

When initially looking at this my thought was that this is a way to ditch personal responsibility. How hard can it be to call your family member once every day or two to make sure there ok? Thinking about it more I could see this being useful for people with conflicting schedules such as night shift workers. I also think it may be helpful in cases where someone is in early stages of dementia and needs multiple check-ins a day. (I have no personal experience with dementia so may be totally off.) It may be good to update the description and marketing copy to have this be an addition to normal check-ins from actual care givers or family members.
