Not sure if you are saying my point is dumb or something. But 186 million records might only apply to a few thousand individuals. What was actually exposed was billions of individual records on half the population of the USA.
How many ransomware incidents?

I personally know of a hospital that had no computers for a week due to ransomware. People died. The company running the hospital was unprepared before the event, inept during it, and unchanged after it.
