Interesting take! I’d love to see it happen. It would bring incredible flexibility. While Android and iOS might not disappear, they’ll probably go cloud-first approach to provide more resources.
But, I see that APIs to the apps are going to go higher, just like X upping their API pricing. We cannot fully automate any kind of agents without paying them huge.
