I'm not bored. It's just that after a certain point, every smartphone release was worse at doing what I need. The useful stuff appears to be degraded as a consequence of so much effort being put into the things that aren't actually useful to me.
So no new smartphone is exciting because each release represents further regression.
I paid my pixel phone 300€ 2 years ago, and the only limits I have are the camera, the battery and the storage. The camera is good but the more expensive phones have a better camera system. The battery and the storage are just a shitty choice by Google that decided to not have a swappable battery and a miscrosd card for 5€.
For everything else, no phone even costing 1 or 2k can do something that I cannot do with mine.
