A former employer of mine (where I had a work email that ended in .gov) had an "international food day" once a year that was semi-open to the public. It was a fun opportunity to connect with colleagues from other departments over yummy food. It looks like this sort of thing might be politically unfavorable nowadays.

In retrospect, perhaps I never appreciated how much my conservative colleagues were deeply offended and angry at the annual event.
