Show HN: Codedd – automating software auditing for investment rounds (codedd.ai)

Hi HN,

This is the first ever post of CodeDD – a tool for automated code auditing, aimed at the technical due diligence processes within financing rounds or M&A deals (but it can also work just to check how good code is).

Don´t know about your experience, but as a founder doing investment rounds was always a bitter-sweet experience. It´s nice as you hope for money and you are eager to work with the new investors and team members. But it´s also extremely nerve-racking, time consuming and sometimes quite risky (in terms of your time focus but also who gets to see your code) act of self-exposure.

If you have never been in a technical due diligence, its basically: 1. Undress yourself to show everything you got 2. Show your best moves and respond to a myriad of questions (every potential investor or buyer has differing questions) 3. If you get lucky, you have your investment (what, 5%?). But normally, you get nothing, maybe an email saying thanks but no.

I had a lot of these moments, and it was more frustrating than fun. With CodeDD I want to alleviate things a bit – for both ends.

It´s a simple to use tool, it uses state-of-the-art LLM´s to review the code stack but it never reveals or permanently stores any single line of code. The investor has the insights he needs for a secure investment and the startup also gets’ the share of transparency to improve things, without any personal bias.

You can take a look at some public audits here: https://codedd.ai/discover

Or jump directly into some public audits to see it in action:

Feel free to sign up – it´s still not fully released, so expect some hick-ups. Happy to get your feedback and drop some comments about your experience with tech DD! Camillo

Will continue coding... see ya!
