For about half a century, the deal in taking a government job was that you would be underpaid but in exchange for that you have a much more stable position .

Now that that isn't the deal going forward, I don't see how any government agency is going to be able to recruit qualified applicants. We're all rapidly headed towards a future of no benefit, no minimum hour contract work.
