This is so incredibly cringe. Not to mention worrying that I see this “advice” so often.

You’re essentially saying “if you engage in interesting conversation with another human and consider their side instead of being a selfish succubus fully concentrated on yourself, the other person may take a liking to you”. Which is absurd that it even has to be said. But then your goal is faking this “genuine” interest just enough to get something out of them later. You’re teaching people to be manipulative sociopaths and think that is justified because you made money in the process.

No wonder everything is turning to shit.
